The Parekh family is back at work and is set to make fans laugh again. The makers of Khichdi 2 released the trailer for the film yesterday. It shows cast members Supriya Pathak, Rajeev Mehta, Anang Desai, JD Majethia and Vandana Pathak reprising their popular roles. Farah Khan and Pratik Gandhi join the family to help them in their endeavour of humouring the audience with this November 17 release.

Found love in a hopeless place

Karan Kundrra, who is set to host the upcoming reality dating show, Temptation Island India, asserted that reality shows help individuals “evolve”. “I fell head over heels in love on a reality show.  I got to know about myself. A show like this will help these couples explore the intricacies of relationships. Love and lust are part of human behaviour, and this show will help them better understand their emotions.” Kundrra started dating Tejasswi Prakash on Bigg Boss.

On collaborating with Irrfan

Oscar-winning Mexican director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, known for films such as Birdman and The Revenant, was keen to work with Irrfan Khan, says director Mira Nair who had suggested the actor’s name to the filmmaker. According to Nair, Inarritu was looking for an Indian actor for one of his projects and happened to ask her for a recommendation.

“When I had visited him [Irrfan], he was really ailing, but still fighting. My other friend, the great filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu had said, ‘I’m really looking for this Indian everyman’. I said, there are many, but there’s one great one. And it was going to be Irrfan. But such is life,” the director, 66, said during a session at an ongoing film festival.

Authored by crime journalist Jupinderjit Singh, it sheds light on the Punjabi music industry, and offers a spine-chilling account of crime, fame, and tragedy. Moosewala, an iconic figure in the international Punjabi music scene, rose to stardom as his lyrics and themes resonated deeply with the youth across the world. His work was not without controversy; it delved into raw, unfiltered issues, making him a voice for many.

Ash celebrates her 50th!

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, celebrated her 50th birthday yesterday by visiting the GSB Seva Mandal in Mumbai, along with her daughter, Aaradhya. The duo was spotted in white and was accompanied by Rai’s mother Vrinda Rai. Industry folk also wished the actor on social media, as news feeds brimmed with tales of her past successes and her motivational quotes on women’s empowerment. While Shilpa Shetty Kundra shared their picture and wrote, “Wishing you more happiness, success, love, and great health, my fellow bunt,” Anushka Sharma wished her “love and light always”. Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad are painting the town red with their pictures.
