'Emotionally blackmails' the actress with suicide threats

The word 'maid' spells trouble in Bollywood. Hardly had the Shiney Ahuja controversy died down, there were whispers that how Neetu Chandra's maid, Aashma, threatened to commit suicide when the actress asked to leave for good.



Our source said, "Neetu had hired Aashma (who is from Nepal) to do the household chores and take care of home. Neetu met Aashma 10 months ago. A common friend referred Aashma to Neetu."

Things were fine till Neetu noticed expensive electronic gadgets vanishing from her home. Our source said, "Neetu began losing stuff from her home. She even lost her brand new phone recently. When Neetu questioned Aashma about her things, she'd would just shrug her shoulders saying, "Mujhe kuch pata nahin hai."

Neetu, however, did not want to make an issue out of it and kept quiet. She felt helpless. But things took a turn for the worse when Aashma's husband began staying in the house whenever Neetu would be on long outdoor spells shooting for films.

"This used to happen behind Neetu's back. She had no knowledge of it till someone told her about it. She thenu00a0 asked Aashma to leave. She did not want to confront her nor make an issue about it," said the source.

The maid then threatened to commit suicide. "The threat scared the actress. Neetu kept quiet and tolerated the threats for two weeks. She then called the maid's husband over to the house. Neetu also called over her spotboy, the building watchman, her brother and his friend as witnesses so that there were no misunderstandings," says the source.

Neetu confirmed the incident saying, "It may sound silly but I felt emotionally blackmailed by her threats. And it took me time to resist this kind of a pressure. I have nothing to say beyond this."
