"Masaan" is an Indo-French co-production produced by Manish Mundra, Macassar Productions, Phantom Films, Sikhya Entertainment, Arte France Cinema and Pathe productions.

Competition film "Son of Saul", Hungarian director Laszlo Nemes' first feature, also earned a FIPRESCI honour.
